Florence Avenue Foursquare Church invites the community to participate in a youth basketball league. Our league emphasizes sportsmanship, skills, character and spiritual values, participation at every game, positive coaching and FUN. 

Kidz Play Basketball Season
January 28 - March 18

The league is 8 weeks long with one practice and one game per week.

Practices schedule to begin Week of January 16th
Coaches will be contacting you for your scheduled day of the week.

Volunteer Coach / Referee

  • In person sign-ups, Jersey sizing, practice, and games will all take place at the FAFC gym.  The gym is located in the parking lot behind the Church.

Frequenty asked questions

  • When does practice begin?
    • Practice is currently scheduled to begin the week of January 16th.    You will be contacted by your coach for your scheduled practice days.
    • Practice will be once a week on your scheduled day of the week to be scheduled with your coach.
    • All games will take place on Saturdays.  First game is scheduled for Saturday, January 28.
  • What are the age ranges / divisions? 
    • The age range to play Kidz Play is from Pre-K (4 years old) to 8th grade.
    • Divisions:
      • Half Pints:  Pre-K (4 years) to 1st Grade
      • Pee-wee:  2nd Grade to 3rd Grade
      • Minors:  4th Grade to 5th Grade
      • Majors:  6th Grade to 8th Grade

  • Where can I find the waivers:
    • You can download the following waivers below.   Please sign the waivers and email them back, or bring them with you during jersey sizing or at first practice.  Email to: kidzplay@fafc.org
  • Jersey sizing:  Do you already have a Kidz Play approved jersey that you intend to use?
    • Yes: You do not need to show up for jersey sizing since you already have a jersey that you intend to use for the season.  Please ensure that you have communicated your jersey number to the Kidz Play team.  This should have been completed during registration.
    • No: Please ensure that you show up to one of the sign up dates for jersey sizing, even if you have completed the online registration.

  • Do I need to attend Tryouts?
    • There will be no further try-outs at this time.   Coaches will be contacting you for practice.

  • I would like to volunteer
    • Kidz Play needs volunteers!   We invite you to participate as a coach, referee, team parent, or other volunteer.  We can't do it without you!  Please contact Eddie Barrios at (562) 387 - 5000  or email kidzplay@fafc.org for more information.
